"Monoptic Stylus Transmission is a process where the internal speaker is disconnected from a 1970's Garrard Elizabethan Pop-Ten turntable and a jacksocket inserted, a line is then taken from the turntable into a series of delay units (NB: there is also a natural pitched effect which occurs at random or by touching/rubbing/elevating the turntable and placing objects on the arm or various parts of the turntable thus causing the changing pitch in sound, I put this natural effect down to the age/frail wiring of the turntable itself). This goes straight into the mini-disc, ensuring that no sound can be heard from the playing of various vinyl grafts, braille discs, wooded and metal objects - and in some instances the objects/turntable are set on fire causing objects to melt and distort. The result that you are now listening to is the end product of pure chance, none of the improvisations/recordings were listened to while all 11 tracks were motionless."
