eve28 - when i know you will too - 'aca' cdr
austin's sean
o'neill, of when i know you will too, makes his first outing for evelyn
with new album 'aca'. serving as an expansion of its predecessor, the
gong-led debut 'astoria' on asaurus records, 'aca' is a stark and fragile
series of minimal ambient recordings, and a further exploration of the
glacial beauty of when i know you will too's sound. please visit the
catalogue page for more details and ordering.

evelyn records marked the release of subscription series 6 with a dj
set at the july 2006 retrieval show featuring courtis and cheapmachines.
thanks to everyone who came to the evelyn records night #5 in september.
more shows to come in 2007.
the subscription
series
standing apart from the
main catalogue is our 'sister label-of-sorts', the subscription series.
each series consists of five cdrs by five experimental artists from
across the globe. to subscribe please choose which series you wish to
order and send £10 / $21 / €16.
the subscription series' unique format allows artists the scope to experiment
further which has resulted in many diverse and anomalous recordings.
releases can therefore often be departures in sound/method; a strange
hybrid recording or set of obscure out-takes that wouldn't fit anywhere
else, a one-off experiment or the hidden gem by the invented side-project
pseudonym of an acclaimed artist. for more information go to the subscription
series page here
new releases:
series six presents five fine exponents in experimental electronica-noise.
each disc presents exploratory recordings of short sonic studies together
with extended improvisation.
norway's iversen continues his project to record 20 minute improvised
tracks for each letter of the norwegian alphabet, with 'caligula symphony
c', plus four other inspired electronic experiments. the hugely prolific
chefkirk is next with twelve diverse noise experiments and electronic
vignettes.
scott taylor founder of the marvellous sijis and lapilli imprints,
archives material from two decades of recording with drifting experimental
electronica. silo presents a joyously malevolent brutal noise
attack, while the long-awaited full-length from fencepost follows
up from his critically-acclaimed e.p. with minimal glitch music and
miniscule micro-sounds.
series seven
is five drone and ambient recordings, a series which sonically most
closely resembles the evelyn records main catalogue. this is for drifting
far away.
first, shifts seeps the soul with a meditative translucent drone.
aidan baker is next with two introspective improvised guitar
works, one using electric guitar and the other acoustic. both are ambient
recordings but do not use any effects, processors or manipulations.
duane pitre/pilotram follows with two tracks of beautiful melancholic
ambience and looped experimentation. pink eye sore, a collaboration
between nick davidson (pink eye/dead eye) and ian masters (i'm sore/the
pale saints), is next with plaintive tonal experiments of looped metallic
timbres and gong-like resonance. finally signals create swathes
of warm guitar and electronica drone set against a grainy bird-sounds
field recording.
both series
#6 and series #7 are £10 / $25 / €17 each for all five cdrs,
or £4 / $10 / €7 for any individual cdr.
£10 / $25 / €17
